One of the approaches we are taking this season is partnering with a St. Louis NPR podcast “We Live Here,” which shares stories about race and class from St. Louis and beyond with host Lauren Brown. Raising equity includes how we care for ourselves and community while also resisting oppression. Today’s episode is focused on how people have been navigating loss related to the pandemic. Lauren and I take a closer look at ways Black people are embracing mental health and wellness through movement. The pandemic and social justice movements taking place all over the world have created a surge in mental health challenges and racial trauma, specifically in the black community. Hopefully listening to these stories will help you reflect on your own journey and how you can take care of yourself amidst all that has and is happening.
